Following the invitation of Wynton Marsalis at the Lincoln Center in New York, he published, in 2008, "Marciac New York Express", an album unanimously acclaimed by critics (Best French Jazz Record 2008, awarded by the Jazz Academy). Hervé Sellin also receives, on this occasion, a Django d'Or, category Confirmed Artist.

At the same time, Hervé Sellin is professor at the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (Jazz and Improvised Music Department and Education Training Department) since 1993. He also directed art workshops at Sciences-Po Paris between 2013 and 2017.
